Chamber throws tailgate party

Each fall, we like to recognize our members for the support they show the Chamber all year long.
This year’s Member Appreciation Night will be a tailgate party. Set for 5-7 p.m. Thursday, October 29, this party will take place in the lower level of Zeman’s Old Highway House. It’ll be held before the Green Bay Packers face the Carolina Panthers.
For just $10, you can enjoy a tailgate party-style feast featuring bratwurst, hot dogs, chips, dip, baked beans and potato salad. A cash bar will be open.
Throughout the event, we’ll give away Packers-themed items. The grand prize will be two tickets to a 2027 home game in Green Bay. The only way to enter the raffle is to attend the party! Many thanks to Shannon and her team at the Old Highway House for hosting this event.
“We’re grateful to our members for doing all they can to make the Chamber successful,” Executive Director George Althoff said. “We like to show our appreciation with a special event every year.”
Years ago, the Chamber capped off successful summer tourist seasons by holding a September crab boil at Devil’s Lake. More recently, we’ve moved our Member Appreciation Night around, holding a pasta feed at Mike’s Italian Restaurant and a pondside party at Al’s Fox Hill RV Resort & Campground. Last year, we presented the premiere of a “Discover Wisconsin” episode promoting the Baraboo Area.
This year, with a Thursday night Packers game on the schedule, we opted to sponsor a tailgate party. We have access to select game tickets through an advertising partner, and opted to put a pair of ducats into the hands of a lucky member this month.
“Our members do so much to help us promote the Baraboo Area,” George said. “It’s fitting that we set one evening aside to recognize the businesses that make this a thriving community. And go Pack go!”
