Baraboo is known as “Circus City” because the Ringling Bros. Circus began here in 1884 and made its “Winter Quarters” on the riverfront until 1918.
Now you can make Baraboo your “Winter Quarters” and visit Circus World, the Al. Ringling Theatre, the Al. Ringling Mansion and Brewery, the Ringling House Bed & Breakfast, and the International Clown Hall of Fame and Research Center.
