Members give Chamber high marks
George Althoff
Executive Director
With school winding down for the year, it’s that time of the year when students receive their report cards. In certain respects, the Baraboo Area Chamber of Commerce just received its “report card” – the results of a recent satisfaction survey filled out by members.
I’m pleased to report that we did quite well in the opinion of the 62 respondents. Here are some of the key data points:
Question 5 – How would you rate your overall satisfaction with your Chamber membership?
- Just over 82% of respondents said they were very satisfied or satisfied.
- About 17% said they were somewhat satisfied.
- One respondent was dissatisfied. (If you’re that member, please feel free to reach out to me to share your concerns. I’m very open to hearing constructive criticism.)
Question 8 – How would you rate the Chamber’s performance on promoting Baraboo as a premier tourism destination? - About 82% rated our performance as excellent or very good.
- About 17% said we were moderately good.
- One respondent gave us a rating of poor.
Question 9 – How would you rate the Chamber’s performance on strengthening the local economy by advancing the interests of its members and constituents? - About 71% of members rated us as excellent or very good.
- 23% rated us as moderately good.
- About 6% gave us a rating of poor.
Question 12 – How responsive would you rate the staff of the Chamber? - 88% said the Chamber staff is extremely responsive.
- 12% rated us as somewhat responsive.
- No one gave us a mark of not at all responsive.
The survey also gave members the opportunity to leave open-ended comments. The vast majority of those comments were favorable. In the coming weeks, we will delve deeper into the feedback we received and determine how we can improve our performance. Keep watch in future Chamber Review newsletters for updates. And thanks to all of our members for your support.
